Gina was working as a barista at Plan B in Uptown, Minneapolis. Nox used to come in every once in a while. She never said much in the beginning, but used to tip about double the reasonable amount. Nox wondered if Gina was single. Gina wondered if Nox would ever ask her out.

One day, Nox ordered roughly 18,000 milkshakes in all different sizes and flavors for her friends. Gina asked her if she’d rather have iced coffee. They began to talk more and more whenever Nox came in.

Nox started coming in more often. She always secretly hoped Gina was working. Gina started looking hopefully towards the door every time she heard it open, wondering if Nox would be coming in.

Finally, they went on a glorious first date where they shared chicken pad thai at Sawatdee. They didn’t want the date to end, so they decided to go see a last-minute movie.

Precious was playing, and Gina and Nox were pretty much like “sure, why not?”.

They ended up holding hands from the first few minutes of the movie all the way until the end credits, and they’ve been holding hands ever since.
